How Call Forwarding Works
Forwarding sends unanswered or overflow calls to the number where LeadLock answers with AI.
Overview
Call forwarding is configured with your phone carrier or VoIP provider: when you do not pick up—or when you want all calls to flow through LeadLock first—the call is sent to your LeadLock (Twilio) number. LeadLock then runs the AI receptionist flow you configured.
- 1
Provision or connect the LeadLock/Twilio number shown in Integrations or voice settings.
- 2
In your carrier settings, set forward-on-busy or forward-no-answer to that number (exact labels vary by carrier).
- 3
Place a test call from your mobile: decline the handset so forwarding triggers.
- 4
Confirm the interaction appears under CRM → Calls and, if enabled, on the lead record.
Tips
- Keep a note of your carrier’s delay (rings) before forward—too short feels abrupt; too long loses impatient callers.
