How Calling Works

Browser softphone, AI Receptionist, and call logging — how Minutes and Credits fit together.

Overview

LeadLock supports two call experiences: AI Receptionist (inbound — AI answers and qualifies) and Softphone (outbound browser calling from the CRM). Completed calls log to CRM → Calls with duration; billable usage flows through your plan’s included Minutes, then prepaid call Credits, then optional overage when enabled.

What happens on a call

    Softphone — You dial from the in-app dialer; audio runs through Twilio. Match preview can link the number to a Lead or Contact.

  2. 2

    AI Receptionist — Inbound calls hit your configured number; AI answers per your script, captures details, and writes to the Lead timeline.

  3. 3

    Call logging — End-of-call events record duration; included Minutes and Credits update in Billing.

Tips

  • If a call is blocked before connect, check Billing → Call usage — you may be out of included Minutes and Credits without overage.
