How do pipeline stages work?
The pipeline is a set of stages (e.g. New, Contacted, Qualified, Proposal, Booked, Won, Lost). Each lead is in one stage. You move leads as they progress.
Stages are shown as columns in the Pipeline view. Moving a lead to Won or Lost typically closes the opportunity.
What stages are in the pipeline?
Default stages usually include: New, Contacted, Qualified, Proposal, Booked, Won (or CLOSED_WON), and Lost. You can see and sometimes customize them under CRM → Pipeline or Settings.
How do I move a lead to Qualified (or another stage)?
• From Pipeline: Drag the lead card from one column to another. • From lead detail: Open the lead, change the Status dropdown to the desired stage (e.g. Qualified), and save.
The lead count in each column updates automatically.
How do I track deals?
Use the pipeline to track deals: each lead is a deal. Move leads through stages as they progress. Use Won for closed-won and Lost for closed-lost. Check the Dashboard for stage counts and use Analytics (if available) for conversion and trends.
What are hot leads?
“Hot” usually means high intent or ready to move. LeadLock may show intent or score on the lead; the pipeline view and dashboard help you focus on leads in stages like Qualified or Proposal. Use filters and the follow-up queue to prioritize.
Where to find it
Open the Pipeline from the main CRM navigation. You see columns for each stage and lead cards you can drag between columns.
Step-by-step: Move a lead
1. Go to CRM then Pipeline. 2. Find the lead and drag its card to another column. 3. Open the lead, change Status, and save. 4. Use Dashboard and Analytics for counts and conversion.
Best practices
Move leads as soon as they qualify. Review pipeline weekly for stuck deals. Use Won and Lost consistently.
